I do not provide personal or corporate income tax preparation or tax planning. However, I do handle all ongoing bookkeeping-related compliance, including GST filings, payroll source deductions, WCB remittances, and year-end summaries such as T4s, T4As, and T5018s. I work alongside accountants and can refer you to a trusted tax professional when needed.
Yes—clean-up and catch-up work is a core part of what I do. Whether you're behind a few months or a few years, I’ll meet you where you’re at and help get your books back on track. There’s never any judgment—just a clear plan to move forward with confidence.
Yes—this is a non-negotiable requirement for working together. While your business does not need to be incorporated, you must have a separate bank account and credit card for business activity. I do not work with clients who mix personal and business transactions. It compromises the accuracy of your financial records, creates confusion, and increases the time (and cost) involved.
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $200 and is billed at a fixed monthly rate—no hourly billing and no surprise charges. The fee depends on the complexity and volume of your business activity.
All bookkeeping clients are set up on automatic monthly payments through Rotessa, a secure Canadian preauthorized debit processor. This keeps things simple for both of us and eliminates the need for manual invoicing or follow-ups. Enrollment is required before services begin.
I’ve worked with a wide range of businesses including construction, trades, retail, and service-based businesses. Whether you’re a solo operator or managing a growing team, I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and keep your financial records working for you.
I work virtually with clients, allowing for flexible scheduling and efficient communication. All tools and materials are digital, and support is provided via phone, email, or video call.
I primarily use QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and Hubdoc for document collection and receipt management. If you're not already set up on one of these platforms, I can help with onboarding and migration.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Thompson Rivers University. I earned my CMA designation (Certified Management Accountant) in 2003 and trained with one of the top 5 global accounting firms. My background combines formal education with hands-on experience, giving me a strong foundation in both financial strategy and day-to-day business operations.
Yes — I carry Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance to protect both myself and my clients. I also maintain my own WCB (Workers’ Compensation Board) coverage. In addition, I have a cyber liability insurance policy and use multiple security tools and protocols to protect sensitive financial data. Keeping your business information secure is a top priority.
No. I don’t require long-term commitments — I believe in letting the quality of my work speak for itself. If at any point it’s not a good fit, I ask for (and offer) 30 days' notice so we can wrap things up professionally and ensure a smooth transition.
Yes — if you’re already working with tax accountant, I’m happy to collaborate with them. My role is to help you understand and use the financial information you’re already collecting.
